The FAQs listed here have been compiled over the years and we hope these will serve as the first place to go to quickly get your questions answered. General Questions

Q. How much does it cost to become a Member of ExpediteLoads.com?

A. We have several Membership plans for you to select from, including our FREE Posting Only account to our 5-Star, full access plan level. The 5-Star Membership level, at $49.95, includes access to premium, expedited loads and trucks, the ability to set up and/or participate in your own Private Load Board and much, much more and all for the equivalent cost of about $1.67 per day. You can barely buy a cup of coffee for that!

Q. You’ve just launched a new version of your web site and service, what’s changed?

A. Almost everything. We took a hard look at ourselves, what we were providing as a service and also, and most importantly, we listened to what our Members and past Members were saying. Sometimes it is hard hearing what you should be doing while knowing that your current platform and tools put severe restraints on what you can offer.

So... we started over with a complete re-design of who we are and what we offer to our Members. Our premise was to develop a new platform that will allow us to build upon the unique features and tools of the past while providing the flexibility to add great new services, tools and features as we grow into the future.

Everything was touched in some shape or form. A new database was designed and implemented that is faster and more robust. We have overhauled our load and truck search functionality, our connections with our load and truck-posting partners, our alert notifications, and much, much more. At the same time we have added a number of new features, such as the Private Load and Truck boards, document management capabilities, personal and company profiles, and new social networking tools to allow Members to easily interact with each other.

But rest assured, we are not pulling over and standing still. We have a number of exciting new features we are working on and plan to roll out. Plus, we are actively seeking out and working with new organizations to post their loads and trucks directly with us in order to provide more unique load and truck opportunities for our Members.

Q. What type of shipments can I find listed on your site?

A. Any size or type of shipment needing ground transportation in the US & Canada. Time-sensitive, expedite shipments requiring smaller trucks; 1-ton cargo vans, sprinters, straight trucks or small flatbeds. General freight shipments requiring full semi trailers, flatbeds, power only or LTL (less-than-truck load). Individual items like motorcycles, cars, tractors and small shipments. Our community of carriers has all different types of trucks to meet your needs. When you list a shipment, it is displayed to qualified & insured truck freight companies looking for shipments who will then connect with you directly.

Q. What if I am a Carrier, can I post loads too?

A. Absolutely! You have Customers you have built relationships with over time and you want to service them well, even if your equipment is not available to haul their load or a particular load may not fit the equipment you operate.

Depending on your Membership level, you can post your available loads to the General Freight Truck Load & LTL load board, the Bid load board, or the Expedite, Urgent Response load board for all Members to respond to. Also, if you are a 5-Star Member, you can set up your own Private load board and invite other Members you select to have access and view your own “private” loads.

Q. What companies are posting loads?

A. Our Members come from all regions across the United States and Canada. We have Manufactures, Distributors, Freight Brokers and Logistics Services to name a few. It is not uncommon to see loads posted from other General & Expedited Carrier companies as well. In fact, we encourage our Carrier Members to post their overflow loads as it helps them to maintain excellent Customer Service and time honored relationships by assisting their Customers in getting their loads shipped.

Q. What type of equipment can I post loads for? What are your equipment/trailer types?

We have quite a list of equipment/trailer types available:

Q. Do you collect fees for the loads that are posted to the load board or the loads that are selected?

No, we don’t participate in any way in the terms or payments of loads or trucks posted on our site. We are an information and service provider. Further, we are not a Shipper, Broker or Freight Carrier of any kind, and we have no vested interest in any freight brokerage, manufacturer, distributor, freight forwarder, third-party logistics firm, or freight carrier of any size.

Q. Do you only have cheap freight on your board?

A. No, and we do not control in any way the prices posted or paid for any particular load. Brokers, Shippers, Freight Forwarders, Carriers and other Third Parties throughout the US and Canada actively post loads on our website. This results in a wide range of rates on available loads including general economic conditions. Rates will vary by region, by truck lane, by load type and various other factors. Keep in mind that rates on almost every load are negotiable and that some companies that have lower rates offer "quick pay" programs, which sometimes offset the difference in the payment rate

We have tools in the Member area that are available to help you calculate your profitability for a particular load and can assist you when negotiating a load bid. Use these tools to your advantage to help you get the best estimate for your costs and profitability.

Note that our "Expedite / Urgent Response Board" was set up to handle time sensitive freight that generally pays a higher rate. People posting to this board are instructed to only post on "Urgent Response" if they are paying an "expedite" rate. Our Bid Board also has expedited higher paying freight posted daily.

Q. Do I have to tell you if I take a load from your board?

A. Absolutely not! You pay one flat, monthly Membership fee. You can take and all loads that you can haul! Our system is based on unlimited usage, therefore there are no individual fees associated with selecting loads on our board or for posting your available trucks.

Q. Who pays the shipping bill if I accept a load from your board?

A. All fees, rates, schedules and routes are negotiated between the Shipper and Carrier. ExpediteLoads.com does NOT participate in any way in this transaction.

Q. How do you tell the difference between brokers and shippers on your site?

A. Company Types (i.e. Shipper, Broker, etc.) along with the name of the organization posting each load are shown in the load search result listings so you can quickly identify what type of organization posted the load. You may also sort your load search results by Company Type or you may search for loads by a particular Company Type.

Q. How do I sign up?

A. Go to Plans & Pricing to see the Membership levels, features and monthly Membership fees. Choose the one that fits you and your organization best. You'll receive instant access and unlimited use of features and benefits within your plan, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Q. Do I have to have an MC# to sign up with you as a Carrier?

A. We ask that you provide us with your MC# when you sign up with the service. Your MC# is displayed for those shipping freight as referenced to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to verify you are a qualified carrier.

Q. What is an MC#?

A. MC# stands for Motor Carrier Number. An MC# is assigned by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to Carriers, Brokers, and Freight Forwarders who have registered and been authorized to operate in interstate commerce. For an MC# to remain active, the entity must maintain the proper levels of insurance or surety bond and keep that information current with the FMCSA.

Member Sign In

Q. Where do I Sign In to get on the load board?

A. The link to Member Sign In is on the top right-hand corner of every page. Click the green Member Sign in button you will be sent to the Sign In page where you can fill in your User Name and Password and gain access to the Member area. Be sure to bookmark the Member Sign In page so you can easily access this page daily. Our login is case sensitive so be sure to enter letters & numbers just as set them up. If you have any problems, contact us and we’ll be happy to help you with access to the site.

Q. What if I forgot my Sign-in information?

A. Simply go to the Member Sign In page, click on "Forgot My Password". Follow the instructions and the system will e-mail your sign-in info to the e-mail address you provided when you signed up.

Your Account and Billing Questions

Q. How can I pay for my Membership?

A. We proudly accept credit card payments from Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Q. Is my credit card information secure? Is it safe to use a credit card online?

A. Security for your payment is our number one concern. Our secure server encrypts your credit card information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, ensuring that your transaction is private and protected. SSL technology is the most advanced online security system presently available.

If you ever feel that your credit card has been tampered with or has been stolen, please call or email your credit card company immediately.

Q. Who bills me for my Membership? What name will I see on my credit card statement for my Membership fees?

A. Membership fees and other related services will be billed as ExpediteLoads.com. in rare instances, you may see a billing from Expedite Technologies, Inc. which is our corporate name. Rest assured that ExpediteLoads.com and Expedite Technologies, Inc. are one in the same organization.

Q. How do I change my account info or billing info?

A. Simply sign in to the Member area and click on "Your Account" in the “Your Profile” section. From here you can update your personal information, your user name and password, your personal profile, and Membership Plan and billing information.

Q. How do I cancel or upgrade my account?

A. You have complete control over your membership online. Sign In to the Membership area and click "Your Account" in the “Your Profile” section. On this page you can view your Membership plan and follow the instructions to cancel or upgrade your account. Please do not try to modify your membership over the telephone. We do NOT accept telephone cancellations.

Changes to your Membership access will take effect once you Submit Changes, and if you cancel, once you complete the cancellation steps. If you upgrade or downgrade your Membership Plan, the billing changes will take affect with your Next Billing Date.

If you decide to cancel your Membership, there are a couple of steps to complete to close everything out and we request you complete a quick survey. The cancellation process will take you no more than two to three minutes. You may cancel your Membership at any time.

Q. Why do I have to cancel online? Can’t I just call and cancel?

A. Cancelling online puts you in control. When you sign up as a Member of ExpediteLoads.com, you start building connections, whether by completely building Your Personal Profile, Your Company Profile, saving and maintaining Your Documents on the site or just participating in searches or posting Your loads or trucks. This is your information, and as such, we want to live up to the Terms of Service that we will not exploit you or your Company’s information.

It only takes a couple of minutes to cancel your Membership and you may cancel at any time. As an additional protection to you, when you cancel, you may print for your records your cancellation account confirmation, which has your Membership end date. A cancellation confirmation email will also be sent to your email account.

Q. If I decide to cancel my Membership, are there any cancellation fees or other charges?

A. No. We do not charge you any fees or other charges if you cancel. We obviously hope you decide to stay an active Member of the ExpediteLoads.com load board community, but we will not penalize you if you leave us.

Q. Do you offer refunds?

A. Sorry, but no. Membership fees are earned immediately and we do not refund any partial month.

Q. Will I receive a receipt for my Membership fees each month?

A. No. Receipts are not automatically emailed out for monthly Membership fees. We have found after more than a decade of being on line that most of us do not read all of the email we receive in our inboxes. You can manage your entire account in the Membership area by signing in and clicking on “Your Profile”. Select “Your Account” where you can view or update everything related to your Membership and billing information, your personal profile, your user name and password, and your contact information.

Q. What happens if my credit card payment is rejected?

A. If a reoccurring payment is due, but for some reason the credit card payment was unsuccessful, we will send you an email notifying you of this. We will automatically try to bill you card again in five days. Before we bill again, we suggest you check with your credit card company to see if there are any issues with your account and also to sign in to the Member area and verify your credit card billing information to see if it is correct and up to date.

Q. My credit card has expired, how do I update my billing info?

A. We are here to assist you in any way that we can. You may reach us directly by:

Q. Do you have to download any additional software to use the load board service?

A. No. Our service is 100% Internet based. You only need a recent version of an web browser and be able to connect to the Internet to use our web site and our Member service. We support the most popular web browsers and for the best results we recommend you check to ensure you are using an updated version of a popular web browser.

Q. How confidential and secure is ExpediteLoads? Is our information safe?

A. We take security very seriously and thus take all reasonable precautions to keep your information safe and secure. We use encryption technologies to protect your data in the Member area and process all credit card payments using Secure Socket Layering (SSL) technology to ensure that your billing information is protected.

Remember, the information that you enter (your load postings, truck postings, profile information, etc.) is controlled by you, but will be visible to other Members of ExpediteLoads.com.

Q. Do you sell my information to third parties? Will you send me tons of SPAM emails?

A. We hate SPAM as much as you do and we will not sell or rent your information to third parties. Our communications to you will be related to the notification alerts that you control and set up as well as Member services and features communications that we send from time to time that you may, at your discretion, opt out of. You may not opt out of any Membership billing related email communications.

Q. Who controls my User Name and Password?

A. When you sign up for our service, you are required to select a user name and password to grant you access to the Member area. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password and you should not reveal your user name and password to anyone.

If you forget your password, go to the Member Sign In page, click on "Forgot My Password". Simply follow the instructions and the system will e-mail your sign-in information to the e-mail address you provided when you signed up.
